Mat 1 and Movement Principles

Welcome to Pilates instructor training through Balanced Body.

The syllabus includes an introduction to the history of Pilates and the Pilates Principles.  Fundamental movements, a review of core anatomy, beginning, and most intermediate level exercises with modifications will be covered. Special focus will be paid to client assessment and using alignment and posture to understand client muscle development and strength balance.  Also included are lectures on creating classes/class order and programming in a fitness setting.  This course is good for ACE and PMA CECs.

Mat 1 is 16 hours and is held Friday 5-9pm Sat/Sun 10am-5pm.
