I had been a student of mat Pilates for many years, but started practicing Pilates on equipment after sustaining a hip injury. I tried many forms of therapy, but Pilates was the only one that seemed to help in a long-term way. After three years of studying Pilates at Intelligent Exercise as a student, I realized I would need to practice it forever and complete my instructor training. I am inspired to share with others what helped me so much. I completed training in Anatomy, Mat, Reformer, and Cadillac through Balanced Body, and am currently working toward the completion of my comprehensive instructor training. Because I came to Pilates as the result of being injured, I deeply understand how difficult it can be to start a movement rehabilitation process, and I will always be sensitive to the particular needs of my clients. I truly find joy in helping clients restore function and movement.
Prior to beginning my journey as an instructor, I graduated from Cleary University with a Bachelors Degree in Finance, and have worked in commercial and non-profit finance for the past 18 years. My free time is spent doing just about anything outdoors. attempting Pinterest projects, and spending time with my husband, our son, and our fur baby, MacGyver.
